Director Brad Anderson has found the star of his new film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hayden Christensen has signed on to star in Vanishing on Seventh Street.

The trade is also reporting that Thandie Newton and John Leguizamo are also in negotiations to join the film as well. The story revolves around a city that has become plagued with mysterious figures kidnapping residents, with five survivors grappling with the meaning of life. Christensen will play a journalist while Newton and Leguizamo, if they sign on, would portray a nurse and a subway operator.

Brad Anderson is directing from a script he co-wrote with Anthony Jaswinski. Production is slated to begin this October in Detroit.
