HBO and BBC 2 are working on the new telefilm, Stuart: A Life Backwards for the US cable network.

Sam Mendes is serving as executive producer on the film, based on Alexander Masters' memoir. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it tells the true story of the unusual alliance between a homeless man and a writer. Alexander Masters is writing the script, while David Attwood is directing. Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy will star in the film.

Stuart: A Life Backwards has already begun shooting in London and Cambridge, England; no word on an air date.
