In a story from Variety, HBO has renewed Big Love for a fifth season.

According to HBO the show is up 13% among viewers versus last year.

Big Love has also picked up strong critical praise this season. The show focuses on the increasingly obsessed Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton) as he runs for state senator.

"We've taken the show deeper and darker over the last couple of seasons, and we're overjoyed that HBO has come along with us," stated Big Love executive producer Mark Olsen.

HBO has ordered 10 episodes for season five. Shooting for next season will start in June or July. The show will start airing in the winter.
