HBO has brought back director James Bobin inking a first-look deal to develop and produce comedies.

James Bobin already has two projects he is developing. Marbury vs. Madison, a comedy set in the world of academic rivalry, and Permanently Temporary, about a female inter generational comedy from his sister Joanna Bobin.

The director's ties with HBO date back to 2003 when he brought Sacha Baron Cohen's Da Ali G Show to America and then wrote and produced cult classic Flight of the Conchords.

No production dates have been released for any of the shows.
