According to Variety, HBO Films and HBO Sports are making a miniseries based on the Stephen King/Stewart O'Nan book "Faithful: Two Diehard Boston Red Sox Fans Chronicle the Historic 2004 Season."

Bill Diamond will write scripts for the program, which has been broken into six hour long episodes. The series will chronicle the Red Sox's 2004 World Series win. Much of the program will also focus on the 86 year lag between wins.

At this time it is unclear how involved Stephen King will be in the production of the miniseries.
