After fighting alongside Dwayne Johnson in this year's big-budget action-thriller Hercules, actress Ingrid Bolsø Berdal takes aim in the first photo from Westworld. The image comes from Entertainment Weekly's 2015 preview issue that arrived earlier today, although nothing is revealed about the actress' character. However, series creators Jonathan Nolan (Interstellar, Person of Interest) and Lisa Joy (Burn Notice) offered a few new details about the series.

The show is based on the 1973 sci-fi film Westworld, which centers on an amusement park where visitors can live out their wildest fantasies, with the help of androids. Anthony Hopkins is playing Yul Brynner's role from the film, the eccentric park owner, with a supporting cast that includes Ed Harris and Evan Rachel Wood. Lisa Joy revealed that the series is a mix of the sci-fi and Western genres, while Jonathan Nolan added that Westworld is a place where anything can happen. Take a look at what he has to say below, then check out the first look photo.

"It's a place where you can be whoever you want, and there are no consequences - no rules, no limitations. What happens in Westworld, stays in Westworld. What we can tell you is that we intend to make the most ambitious, subversive, f---ed up television series. The things that keep you up at night, any of those things that trouble you, that is exactly what the show is about."
