The Netflix Original Series Hemlock Grove, from Gaumont International Television, a riveting and eerie mystery from executive producer Eli Roth and based on Brian McGreevy's novel of the same name, has been picked up for a third and final season. Showrunner Charles H. (Chic) Eglee will return for the ten-episode final season which is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2015.

Here's what executive producer Eli Roth had to say in a statement about the renewal.

"We are so grateful to the fans of Hemlock Grove who have championed the series so intensely over two seasons. We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places, and to giving viewers the killer finale you'd come to expect from Hemlock Grove."

Showrunner Charles H. (Chic) Eglee also released the following statement.

"We are delighted that our fans have invited us back to explore the fiendish recesses of the human condition for another season. Knowing it will be our last, gives us the opportunity to go out in a mushroom cloud of clever and soul shattering mayhem. See you soon on the twisted streets of Hemlock Grove."

Cindy Holland, Netflix Vice President of Original Programming, had this to say in her statement.

"We, along with the fans, are looking forward to visiting Hemlock Grove one last time, and we know that Chic, Eli and the team will provide a riveting and mind bending conclusion to complete the series."

"The fan support of Hemlock Grove has been amazing and we are thrilled Netflix recognizes this and is rewarding the fans with a third and final season. The second season launched on Netflix in July 2014 to a tremendous outpouring from fans. In the second season, the town of Hemlock Grove continued to come to grips with the shocking massacre incurred by one of its deadliest creatures. Roman (Bill Skarsgård) and Peter (Landon Liboiron) faced new responsibilities and the realities that come with adulthood. Roman struggled with his relationship with his mother (Famke Janssen) as he wrestled with his unwanted Upir birthright and the disappearance of his sister, Shelley (Madeleine Martin). Peter moved in with Destiny (Kaniehtiio Horn) and was forced to get a job after his mother was sent away. Meanwhile, in search of a new life, newcomer Miranda Cates (Madeline Brewer), embarked on Hemlock Grove with an unknowingly profound effect on Peter and Roman. And Norman (Dougray Scott), still reeling from the loss of his family, faced the harsh truth about those he loved.

The second season starred Famke Janssen (Olivia Godfrey), Bill Skarsgård (Roman Godfrey), Landon Liboiron (Peter Rumancek), Dougray Scott (Dr. Norman Godfrey), Madeleine Martin (Shelley Godfrey), Madeline Brewer (Miranda Cates), Kaniehtiio Horn (Destiny Rumancek), Joel de la Fuente (Dr. Johann Pryce) and Demore Barnes (Michael Chasseur).

The drama series is the first foray into television by internationally acclaimed horror master Eli Roth (Hostel, Cabin Fever). It was developed by Brian McGreevy & Lee Shipman and is executive produced by Roth, Eglee, McGreevy & Shipman, Eric Newman and Michael Connolly. The one-hour gothic thriller is produced by Gaumont International Television for Netflix.
