Just days after Tom Cruise bowed out, Warner Bros. is in talks with Man of Steel star Henry Cavill to join the cast of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander are already locked in to star.

Interestingly enough, Henry Cavill had previously met with Warner Bros. to discuss the role that Armie Hammer eventually landed, when Tom Cruise was still on board. The actor is the latest in a long line of potential leading men that Warner Bros. has courted throughout the years, including George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum, Ben Affleck, and Bradley Cooper.

Guy Ritchie is directing from a screenplay by Scott Z. Burns, which follows two agents of United Network Command for Law Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) doing battle with the evil forces of Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity (T.H.R.U.S.H.). Guy Ritchie is also producing alongside Lionel Wigram and John Davis. Production is scheduled to begin this fall.
