'Memories are funny things. The good ones fill our lives with meaning. While other memories can deceive. When you look back on the decisions you've made in your life, the one thing you don't want to feel is regret.' The new villain played by Zachary Levi reveals some of his innermost feelings in a sneak peek at Heroes Reborn. This first look featurette delves further into the story of NBC's reboot. We also get to hear from creator Tim Kring and members of his cast, both old and new.

Returning cast members for Heroes Reborn include Jack Coleman as H.R.G., Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian, Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura, and Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman. Heroes Reborn also introduces new cast members including Zachary Levi along with Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Kiki Sukezane, Henry Zebrowski, Gatlin Green, Ryan Guzman, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Rya Kihlstedt. Tim Kring had this to say about the returning superhero series.

"It is a reboot of the original. The end of the original series, Clair the Cheerleader, outed the fact that these people with powers exist. She and her father had this huge argument that the world would not accept these people. But when we come back five years later, sure enough, her father was right. They are persecuted and hunted. Our show starts with that as the main premise."

Heroes Reborn begins a year after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas left the city decimated. Blamed for the tragic event, those with extraordinary abilities are in hiding or on the run from those with nefarious motives. Two such vigilantes include Luke (Zachary Levi) and Joanne (Judith Shekoni), who are seeking to avenge a tragic loss. Noah Bennet, aka HRG (Jack Coleman), has gone off the grid, but conspiracy theorist Quentin Frady (Henry Zebrowski) finds him and opens his eyes to the truth behind the Odessa tragedy.

The latest preview shows plenty of behind-the-scenes footage with the cast on set. We even get to see some of Masi Oka's epic sword fighting in an underground parking garage as it starts to come together. The actor is on hand to reflect on his previous series, describing the reboot as a 'passing of the torch'. We also get to see more of Luke's horrendous deeds, including a scene where he opens fire on some unsuspecting 'Heroes'. About the role, Tim Kring says this is a different Zachary Levi than fans are used to. The actor himself explains more.

"I wanted to play a character that was bad ass. And maybe not all together that great. Maybe dark. Maybe really bad. I think audiences can expect 13 episodes of action, and drama and intrigue."

Also seen in the featurette is Jack Coleman's HRG, who returns as a central character this time around. We here from the actor about his motives, and how certain organizations are attempting to take advantage of these super human individuals. Other actors appearing in the sneak peek to talk about their characters include Judith Shekoni as Joann, Sendhil Ramamurthy, who returns as Mohinder, Danika Yarosh, who is being introduced as Malina, and Robbie Kay, whose character may be hiding some of the franchise's biggest secrets yet. Heroes Reborn airs Thursdays this fall, starting September 24.
