According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hide and Seek was the most sought-after title on home video last week.

The thriller, starring Robert De Niro and Dakota Fanning, turned out to be a big overperformer its first six days in stores, shooting to the top of the sales and rental charts for the week ending July 10. 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment claims that the film sold 2.5 million copies in its first week, which translates to about $50 million in gross consumer spending.

Hide and Seek generated an additional $14.5 million in rental revenue, according to Home Media Retailing, for combined home video earnings of more than $64 million, compared with a boxoffice take of $51 million.
