The hugely popular High School Musical: Encore Edition seems to be doing brisk business both on the DVD and music charts.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, it seems the DVD, which chronicles what happens when two teens secretly try out for their High School Musical, sold 400,000 units when it came out on Tuesday.

"With the triple-platinum soundtrack at the top of the charts and the television program the highest-rated in the history of the Disney Channel, we are delighted that this release has set a new benchmark within our strong lineup of television properties." said Buena Vista Home Entertainment president Bob Chapek.
