Hannah Ware has signed on to play the female lead in Fox International's Hitman reboot Agent 47. No character details have been revealed at this time.

Rupert Friend is playing the highly-trained assassin known only as Agent 47, who works for a mysterious organization and has a barcode tattooed on the back of his bald head. Zachary Quinto co-stars in an unspecified role. The late Paul Walker had initially been attached to star as the title character, before he tragically passed away after sustaining injuries in a car crash last November.

The project is based on the Square Enix video game series, which has sold more than 20 million units since the franchise launched. The game was adapted into 20th Century Fox's action-thriller Hitman, which starred Timothy Olyphant as Agent 47 and took in just under $100 million worldwide.

Aleksander Bach is directing from a screenplay by Skip Woods (Hitman) and Michael Finch (Predators). Shooting is scheduled to begin next month.

Hannah Ware most recently appeared on the big screen in Oldboy, and she currently stars on ABC's Betrayal. Her other notable credits include Shame and Cop Out.
