Less than one month until The Hobbit trilogy closes out with The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies, Warner Bros. has released three TV spots featuring plenty of new footage. As well, Empire Magazine has debuted their December covers featuring the stars of director Peter Jackson's epic adventure.

There will be a total of five collectible covers for Empire's December issue, with the first three revealed below. Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) and Gandalf (Ian McKellen) are featured on the first cover, with dwarves Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), Kili (Aidan Turner) and Fili (Dean O'Gorman) gracing the second cover and elves Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Thranduil (Lee Pace) and Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) featured on the third cover.

Empire also spoke with Richard Armitage, who reveals that Thorin Oakenshield is starting to lose his grip on reality.

"He starts to become engulfed by dragon sickness. It's almost Hitler in the bunker."

Lee Pace also added that a bulk of the movie centers on the rush to claim the wealth that is left unguarded in the Lonely Mountain.

"A big part of the movie is the rush to the [Lonely] mountain to reclaim this wealth. There are things in the mountain that Thranduil wants - heirlooms. White gems he feels very strongly should be returned to him."

The actor also added how badly Thranduil wants to torture the evil orc creatures.

"Thranduil doesn't want to kill the orcs, he wants to cut them, slice them, torture them."
