Hobbs & Shaw is getting ready to slam Super Bowl 53 hard, from all-sides, dropping an all-new teaser for this Fast & Furious spin-off starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Ahead of the big game, we get three cool new character posters, showing off our two leading men and the main villain played by Idris Elba.

In Hobbs & Shaw, hulking lawman Luke Hobbs teams up with lawless operative Deckard Shaw to stop a madman from unleashing a biological weapon. The first trailer debuted on Friday, and it brought with it quite a bit of controversy. Dwayne Johnson had previously teased a bullet proof super villain. And he meant that quite literally. Idris Elba is playing a super human with incredible strength. And it's been quite the divider.

There's no telling what else we'll see in today's Super Bowl spot. The first footage was insane enough on its own. Not only does it show Luke and Deckard struggling to get along, we also got a look at some of the incredible action scenes that were put on display. This thing is going to go over the top, jump the shark and nuke the fridge all at the same time. And it's glorious.

From the start, Fast & Furious has never been the kind of movie one takes seriously. But each new installment gets crazier and crazier as we go along. And now, adding super heroes into the mix, seems to be the latest cleaver twist. We can only imagine what Fast & Furious 9 has in store. Perhaps they really will go into outer space. We wouldn't put it past them at this point.

There has been plenty of controversy swirling around Hobbs & Shaw. Many make fun of the fact that The Rock just straight up stole Vin Diesel's franchise. Diesel and Dwayne have notoriously clashed during the production of the last couple of sequels, and it really came to a head with Fast 8, with The Rock calling out his co-star's bad behavior on Instagram, and referring to some of his male cast mates as 'candy asses.' It certainly made for a good story.

When Hobbs & Shaw was first announced, with word that it was going into production before Fast & Furious 9, co-star Tyrese was, well, quite furious. And he called The Rock out for stealing food directly out of his family's mouth. The feud lasted for quite some time, with Johnson getting some good digs in. Eventually everyone cleared the air, and it has now been announced that Fast & Furious 9 will be heading into production here in the next few months for release in 2020.

You can take a look at the latest posters, which feature Luke Hobbs dressed up in denim and ready to ride his hog, Deckard Shaw sitting pretty outside his new sportswear, and Brixton ready to jump inside his cool super villain vehicle. These posters come direct from Universal Pictures.
