For years now, Disney has taunted us with Hocus Pocus 2, a sequel to the 1993 comedy about three BFF witches. While the sequel hasn't been officially announced, it appears Bette Midler isn't ready to relinquish her broom just yet. The pop icon reprised her role from the first movie just for Halloween.

Bette Midler starred as Winifred Sanderson in the classic Disney family film. In the comedy, after moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.

Bette Midler turned up at the star-studded Hulaween Bash in New York City dressed as Winifred. And she ate up the attention, posing for quite a few photos. She even shared a few on her Twitter. About reviving the character for this special event, she said this.

"Winifred Sanderson flies in to Hulaween! Says thanks to everyone who made it such an electrifying evening!!"

There were plenty of other guests in attendance, including Kathy Griffin, Marc Jacobs, and David Rockwell. But it was clearly Bette Midler who stole the show. At one point, she was even spotted giving a fake Donald Trump a sock on the chin in true Winifred fashion. The man in costume was said to be carrying a pumpkin filled with Tic-Tacs and Barbie Dolls, which sounds like it made for an odd scene.

Bette Midler apparently keeps her Winifred costume nearby at all times. During one of her Divine Intervention tour stops last year, she is said to have appeared on stage in the getup while singing a rendition of 'I Put a Spell on You', which is a song from the Hocus Pocus movie.

While there has been talk of a Hocus Pocus 2, there is absolutely no movement on the sequel at this time. But the entire cast is game to return. Sarah Jessica Parker even declared that she was in for a reunion movie. Maybe this latest attempt by Bette Milder to remind people of the movie will help urge Disney to answer the call.
