A Place Called Home, a non-profit youth center providing at-risk youth with educational enrichment opportunities, presented their annual Gala for the Children at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. More than $1 million was raised to support their various programs.

And last, but not least, we are a great fan of horror stories, so were pleased to attend the booksigning for screenwriter/filmmaker Tom Kennedy and his debut novel, The Twelve. This tome involves the killing of Beverly Hills billionaires and in written in a suspenseful Stephen King style -- an accolade bestowed by Kirkus Reviews. Among the celebs enjoying such appetizers as mini beef Wellingtons, empanadas and mini cheese pizzas, at Citizen Smith (Hollywood's new hot spot), were Brenda Dickson (Young & The Restless), Nadia Bjorlin & Brandon Beemer (Days of our Lives) and Lorielle New (Grind House). Knowing a few B.H. Billionaires myself, who I'd love to see eliminated, should be an interesting read on the Hollywood Beat.
