Forget Brittany and Angelina, Marie Antoinette is the hottest lady in tinseltown. With the release of Sophia Coppola's film starring Kirsten Dundst, there is renewed interest in this tragic young Queen of France. Actress, poet, and filmmaker Leslie Cottle, has created a poetic film, Let Them Eat - which reaches deep into the heart and psyche of Marie Antoinette, through her poetry and extraordinary beauty. A soul sister indeed! Cottle's breathtaking performance and compassionate portrayal of the much maligned queen will touch your heart. Let them Eat, is now available on DVD for $19.99. It can also be purchased on line at Amazon.com. Compare it to Coppola's film - remember bigger is not always better.

The Thalians Mental Health Clinic at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center celebrated their 51st year in great style Actress, entrepreneur and humanitarian Connie Stevens and her daughters Joely Fisher (star of the new sitcom Til Death) and Tricia Leigh Fisher were named as "Ms Wonderfuls", and Marc Cherry, creator of Desperate Housewives received his Mr. Wonderful Award from Doris Roberts. The irrepressible Mom from Everybody Loves Raymond, teased, "What about a show about desperate widows? I'm available." Cherry's sense of humor, timing and self depreciation were a joy to witness. Particularly when he" translated' a tragic Korean love song, and turned it into a howling comedic interpretation. He also won the bid to name an adorable lion cub, and said he would call her "Eva Longoria ,because she is a man-eater".

The unsinkable Debbie Reynolds and Ruta Lee opened the show with a rousing chorus of Together - as well they are. These two gutsy gals have worked tirelessly to support the Thalians, and prove that energy and enthusiasm (let alone good bone structure) lasts forever. Among the beautiful people in the star-studded audience was actress Daphne Zuniga, who won an adorable doggie auctioned off by Ruta. Daphne is currently working with Ruta in a new flick, Christmas Every Day, along with comedian Jay Mohr, who was the MC that evening.

Comedic barbs were flying fast and furious by members of the ABC News team headed by George Pennacchio. One of the "news flashes was that Baby Siri (offspring of Tom & Katie) looks a great deal like Mr. Blackwell...and you know, there is some resemblance. Also Debbie Reynolds, who was with her daughter Carrie Fisher, and grandkids, remarked that they and Connie Steven's daughters looked very much alike. No wonder, since both Debbie and Connie were married to Eddie Fisher - who is the father of them all! It was that kind of evening, fun, fast, furious and fulfilling. Brava to all concerned.
