Starz Entertainment is producing two half-hour sitcoms, a first for the channel. According to Variety, Hollywood Residential and Head Case will both bow in January.

Eight episodes of each series have been ordered. Hollywood Residential revolves around an accident-prone celebrity-home-makeover host. Head Case will feature a Beverly Hills psychotherapist who ministers to mixed-up celebrities. Starz Vice President of programming Mike Ruggiero stated, "Original series are a way for Starz to extend its brand beyond the theatrical movies that dominate our schedule. With these two sitcoms, we're taking a measured approach, and not trying to do everything at once."

The two series are set to go into production soon for a simultaneous debut in 2008.
