Hope Davis is a lucky girl. She has just been signed to two different films. First, she will appear in the highly anticipated directorial debut from Charlie Kaufman entitled Synecdoche, New York. Then, according to Variety, she will join Colin Firth in Genova.

In the first film, Hope will play Philip Seymour Hoffman's therapist. She helps him resolve a woman crisis while he is in the midst of directing a theater production. The movie beings shooting this month.

In Genova, she will help a British man and his two American daughters recover from the lose of their mother. There is no word on when that film will begin shooting. Presumably as soon as Synecdoche, New York wraps.
