Hot Tub Time Machine star Craig Robinson confirmed in a recent interview that the sequel, Hot Tub Time Machine 2, will begin production sometime this summer.

"Oh and Hot Tub Time Machine 2, we're going to film that this summer."

Back in January, we reported that MGM was entering into "exploratory talks" with Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry, and Clark Duke, although John Cusack was not involved at that time. That report also revealed that Hot Tub Time Machine director Steve Pink is in early talks to take the helm on this follow-up, and that he may co-write the script with star Rob Corddry.

Nothing has been confirmed by MGM at this point, so it isn't clear who is involved and who isn't quite yet. Hot Tub Time Machine earned just over $50 million from the domestic box office, from a $36 million budget, although the comedy became an even bigger hit on Blu-ray and DVD.
