After two decades, director Rob Zombie was able to gather three of the stars of his first horror movie, House of 1000 Corpses, together again for a fun reunion photo. Posted to Instagram, the image reveals Zombie with wife Sheri Moon Zombie, who made her debut as Baby Firefly in the film. Also present are Chris Hardwick and Rainn Wilson, who respectively played victims Jerry Goldsmith and Bill "Fishboy" Hudley. You can see the post below.

In the caption of the post, Zombie writes, "The 1000 Corpses gang together again! Damn! We shot that film over 20 years ago! Time flies when your messing around with Dr. Satan!"

House of 1000 Corpses is just a few months shy of its official 20th's anniversary. It premiered in theaters on April 11, 2003, marking Zombie's directorial debut for a feature film. He has since made several other movies, sometimes bringing back characters from House of 1000 Corpses for two sequels: 2005's The Devil's Rejects and 2019's 3 from Hell. Many fans are still rather fond of House of 1000 Corpses, as the film also notably introduced the late Sid Haig's Captain Spaulding in one of his career-defining performances. The film also featured horror favorite Bill Moseley as Otis with other cast members including Karen Black, Erin Daniels, Jennifer Jostyn, Walton Goggins, Tom Towles, Irwin Keyes, Michael J. Pollard, Dennis Fimple, and Matthew McGrory.

The movie follows a group of teens investigating the local legend of Dr. Satan, only to wind up kidnapped and terrorized by a psychotic family. A visceral horror flick that serves as a love letter to genre classics from the 70s like The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, House of 1000 Corpses set the tone for what fans could expect from Zombie in future films. House of 1000 Corpses would build a cult following over the past two decades with many fans still considering it to be one of Zombie's best movies. Zombie has also teased revisiting the story with a musical adaptation.

"Oh that's something I would totally consider doing, because it's something that I think really lends itself to that," Zombie told us in 2019. "Because that movie, in particular, is so theatrical and so over the top, that it seems like it would work. Especially these days, where you have everything from Spider-Man, to Beetlejuice, to The Addams Family as a Broadway play. I've made no moves yet to try and make that happen but it is a backburner thing in my mind all the time."

If you want to revisit House of 1000 Corpses, the film is currently streaming for free on the free streaming platforms Tubi and Pluto TV.
