Howard and Karen Baldwin are in development on a feature film version of Frank McCourt's bestselling memoir Teacher Man, co-written with Ron Bass, who will also be adapting the screenplay.
The film details McCourt's 30-year career teaching English and creative writing in New York's public school system, beginning in 1958, says Variety. Bass (Dangerous Minds, Rain Man) said the feature version will focus on the changes in the teacher's character over several decades.
No production schedule is set for Teacher Man.
