According to USA Today, Hugh Jackman was recently cast in director Lee Daniels, Selma.

Daniels film Precious is up for 6 Oscars at the upcoming 82nd Annual Academy Awards airing this Sunday night.

"I have to really start casting the movie because we're shooting it soon. The only person I've nailed in for sure is Hugh Jackman. It's all over the place." Daniels stated.

The film Selma chronicles the place where segregation in the South was at its worst, leading to a march that ended in violence, forcing a famous statement by President Lyndon B. Johnson that ultimately led to the signing of the Civil Rights Act.

It was announced that Robert DeNiro was cast as George Wallace. Currently, Daniels is only saying that Jackman is confirmed.
