Yesterday, Lionsgate held their Hall H panel for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 at Comic-Con, where a new trailer debuted exclusively for the SDCC fans. The panel was hosted by Conan O'Brien, who later had stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth on his late night talk show Conan, which has been broadcasting from SDCC this week. During their interview, the host asked this trio of young stars if they've heard anything about the rumors of prequels and/or sequels being developed to continue the franchise, when Josh Hutcherson gave an interesting answer, blurting out a confirmation.

"There is..."

The actor then covered his mouth as a wide-eyed Jennifer Lawrence looked on. After realizing what he had done, the actor had this to say.

"I'm sorry, I can't say that. We'll see what happens."

It's worth noting that Josh Hutcherson wasn't the first one to spill the beans. During an investor's conference call in February, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer revealed the studio is "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities" for The Hunger Games franchise. What isn't known is if author Suzanne Collins will be involved in crafting these new stories, but judging from Jennifer Lawrence's reaction to Josh Hutcherson's statement, it's possible that something is in the works.

As Conan O'Brien mentions in the video below, Lionsgate will surely want to continue this franchise in some way, since the first three movies have earned a whopping $2.3 billion worldwide. Katniss, Peeta and Gale may certainly be a part of these prequels and/or sequels, but we'll have to wait and see if all three of these stars return to reprise their roles. Take a look at the video below, and let us know if you think the actors are just joking about new movies, or if they are just trying to cover up Josh Hutcherson's slip-up.
