The Magic Roundabout: According to Variety, Ian McKellen has signed up to provide the voice for the magical character Zebedee in Pathe's movie version of classic kids TV skein "The Magic Roundabout."

McKellen joins a voice cast that includes Robbie Williams, Jim Broadbent, Ray Winstone, Kylie Minogue and Bill Nighy.

The CGI movie is scheduled for U.K. release in February.

The original TV series was created in the late 1960s by Frenchman Serge Danot and then adapted into English by Eric Thompson and aired on BBC1.
