According to The Hollywood Reporter, IFC Films has bought the U.S. rights to Todd Solondz's Life During Wartime.

The film grabbed the best screenplay award at the Venice International Film Festival, where it made its debut.

Life During Wartime is a dramatic comedy about family against the backdrop of a war.

Life During Wartime is sort of sequel to the filmmaker's 1998 film Happiness. The movie stars Shirley Henderson, Ciaran Hinds, Allison Janney, Michael Lerner, Charlotte Rampling, Ally Sheedy and Michael Kenneth Williams.

The movie will be distributed during the summer via IFC's in Theaters platform. It will also be released on VOD.
