According to The Hollywood Reporter, IFC Films has picked up the U.S. rights to Daniel Monzon's Cell 211.

The movie will have its U.S. premiere Friday as part of the opening night of the Film Society of Lincoln Center's Spanish Cinema Now.

Luis Tosar, Alberto Ammann, Antonio Resines, Marta Etura and Carlos Bardem star in this story of a prison guard who gets trapped on the wrong side of the bars.

IFC plans to release Cell 211 next year through its Festival Direct movies-on-demand platform.
