Variety reports that IFC Films has picked up the U.S. rights to Armando Iannucci's comedy In the Loop.

The sale happened right before the film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film looks at a government minister in Britain who accidentally backs a war while on TV.

Starring in the movie is Tom Hollander, Peter Capaldi, James Gandolfini and Steve Coogan.

"We are going to celebrate tonight," stated IFC president Jonathan Sehring. "It's not often that you get to introduce such a major talent as Armando Iannucci to American audiences."
