Age ain’t nothing but a number to Indiana Jones 5 star Harrison Ford, at least, according to his co-star Boyd Holbrook. Speaking to Variety, Holbrook shared his thoughts on Ford reprising the iconic role at the ripe old age of 80, sharing his awe at the actor’s continued capability of donning the fedora and punching bad guys in the name of our cinematic entertainment.

“Harrison Ford is ripping and roaring. Age ain’t nothing but a number to this man.”

Considering that most of us can barely get out of a chair anymore these days, Ford's continued ability to feature in action sequences and adventure movies is hugely impressive. While we do not yet know much about the direction of Indiana Jones 5, we can certainly expect to see Harrison Ford run, jump, and whip his way through all manner of obstacles. Frankly, just writing that down is tiring enough.

Boyd Holbrook, who is best known for roles in the likes of The Predator, Run All Night, and Narcos, went on to praise the vision of Indiana Jones 5 director James Mangold, whom he has worked alongside before in the superb X-Men sequel, Logan.

“We’ve got Jim Mangold directing the film, and the guy just can’t make a bad movie. He is so precise in what he does.”

Holbrook’s role in Indiana Jones 5 is currently unknown, but we do know that he will join the likes of Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, Antonio Banderas, and Olivier Richters in the highly anticipated sequel.

Holbrook is not the only one left impressed by Harrison Ford. Antonio Banderas has previously revealed how he was left starstruck by the actor when seeing him once again slip into the role of Indiana Jones after all this time.

"So unbelievable. The first day I arrived, I was in the makeup trailer, and I turned around and there he was in the full Indiana costume with the hat and the whip,” Banderas said. “Phoebe Waller-Bridge was there with him, too, and it was so cool. I still remember the first time I saw Indiana Jones in a theater and the crowd was crazy about it. I thought, 'This is like going back to the old adventure (movies) in a completely different way.' What I can tell you about my character is he's not a bad guy. He's a friend of Indiana. He's not the biggest character in the movie, but I don't care. I just like to be part of that."

Plot details for Indiana Jones 5 are being kept a secret, but rumors have claimed that the sequel will take the franchise into outer space. While Indy himself may not blast into the stratosphere, reports have claimed that the highly anticipated sequel will reunite Indiana with his old enemies, the Nazis, through their involvement in the 60s Space Race.

Directed by James Mangold, with a script co-written by Mangold, Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth, Indiana Jones 5 is scheduled to be released on June 30, 2023, following several delays.
