A new Infinity War deleted scene finds Spider-Man and Mantis as they save the Guardians of the Galaxy on Titan. Marvel Studios recently released the super-limited Infinity Saga Collector's box set and the lucky fans that were able to get their hands on it have been sharing some of the deleted scenes. With that being said, other Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are hoping that the studio will release another batch of the box sets because they are incredibly hard to get at a decent price as of this writing.
The Avengers: Infinity War deleted scene is unfinished and it gives a really neat insight into how they made the movie and constructed certain elements through the extensive use of CGI. In the scene, Peter Parker is told by the spectral version of Doctor Strange to "protect the Guardians." Strange goes on to explain that Thanos has separated their souls from their bodies and that time is of the essence. As Spider-Man retrieves the different Guardians of the Galaxy members, Mantis is on the ground trying to get their souls back into their bodies.
There's some light comedy after Mantis is able to revive everybody, but one can see why this version of the scene was left on the cutting room floor. Some of the performances are a little clunky and it seems to go on for a bit longer than it should. Regardless, as mentioned earlier, it gives good insight into the making of the movie, along with how well the Russo Brothers know what to look for in the editing process when compiling for the final cut of the movie.
After years of secrecy, the dam has broken in terms of information being shared about Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The Russo Brothers, along with screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, have been spilling their guts about nearly every portion of the movie since they are finally able to do so and MCU fans are learning a lot about how far in advance everything was set up. It's pretty amazing to know that Marvel Studios was able to keep a lid on everything for so long without any substantial leaks hitting the internet.
Now, MCU fans are starting to look towards the future as Phase 4 is about to kick off with next year's Black Widow. Fans have wanted to see Scarlett Johansson in her own movie as Natasha Romanoff for years now, so hype for the project is considerably high at the moment. After Romanoff's ultimate sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame, it will be nice to see her on the big screen again, even if it takes place before the events of Infinity War. Like most Marvel Studios projects, the movie is shrouded in mystery, though a trailer is expected to drop soon.
