As we get closer and closer to Infinity War hitting theaters on May 4, we also get closer to the 10th Anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a whole, which kicked off when Iron Man hit theaters on May 2, 2008. Marvel will be celebrating this 10th Anniversary all year long, and today IMAX is joining the celebration with a new video featuring footage from the MCU's 18 movies to date, including the current blockbuster Black Panther, and interviews from the filmmakers. IMAX also revealed new details about the expanded aspect ratio Avengers: Infinity War in IMAX theaters. Here's a brief statement from IMAX's YouTube page, where this new video debuted.

"Avengers: Infinity War marks the first Hollywood film to be shot entirely with IMAX cameras. Exclusively in IMAX theatres, Avengers: Infinity War will be presented in an expanded IMAX 1.9:1 aspect ratio - offering moviegoers up to 26% more of the image than standard theatres for a truly immersive experience."

It was first revealed that Avengers: Infinity War will be fully shot with new IMAX camera way back in May 2015, when The Russo Brothers revealed that they also used this camera, an IMAX-customized version of ARRI's large format camera dubbed the Alexa 65, on select scenes in Captain America: Civil War. While it's become a common practice to shoot big action sequences with IMAX cameras, Avengers: Infinity War will be the first to use these cameras for every single scene. It's possible that these cameras could become the standard for Hollywood big budget action movies in the future.

As for this video itself, it begins with Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther) greeting IMAX fans, followed by footage from several different MCU movies including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Black Panther, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Ant-Man, Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: Civil War and much more. Directors such as James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) and Scott Derrickson join in the fun, the later stating that IMAX up close is "the greatest thing ever," because the frame, in the 1.9:1 aspect ratio, "disappears," giving fans more to enjoy.

The video also includes interview segments with Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), who states that, "sometimes you just wanna hang out with my face, 60 feet wide on an IMAX screen," while Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) expresses her excitement for Thor: Ragnarok being showcased in IMAX, stating, "that's so rad." We also hear from Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, who compares the IMAX experience to having, "a TV smashed into your face", and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler, who reveals that IMAX is his favorite way of watching movies.

We also hear from Anthony Mackie (The Falcon), Paul Bettany (Vision), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Michael Rooker (Yondu), Chris Evans (Captain America), while the end of the video showcases a few shots from Avengers: Infinity War that were previously featured in the trailer.
