Just in time for Halloween, Focus Features have released seven new behind-the-scenes photos from their highly anticipated sequel Insidious Chapter 3 featuring the cast and crew hard at work as franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell sets out to make his directorial debut.

Actress Stefanie Scott is seen working closely beside Leigh Whannell, laid up in bed where her laptop will serve as a key player in the action. We also get to see franchise favorite Lin Shaye reprising her role as ghost hunter Elise Rainier, with this installment visiting her at home. Also included is a look at star Dermot Mulroney in what may be the most horrifying movie of his career.

This newest chapter in the terrifying horror series is written and directed by franchise co-creator Leigh Whannell, who also returns as Elise Rainier's sidekick. This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how the gifted psychic (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
