Production is currently under way on FilmDistrict's upcoming horror sequel Insidious Chapter 2, with Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, and Barbara Hershey reprising their roles from the 2011 thriller Insidious.

Screenwriter Leigh Whannell (Saw) shared the first photo from the set with his Twitter account today, poking fun at his thumb's inclusion in the shot. Leigh Whannell also starred in the original Insidious as Specs, a paranormal investigator that suffers through an emotional breakdown when he is tormented by the evil spirit at the heart of this franchise. Though the character lived, it hasn't been confirmed if he is returning to reprise the role.
