Lin Shaye returns as Elise Rainer in the upcoming thriller Insidious Chapter 3, with a new photo showing the fan favorite character being haunted by a demon, played by J. LaRose. If you're worried that we may not see Elise again after this chapter, fear not, because this is actually a prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family in Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2. This story reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.

After writing both Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2, Leigh Whannell makes his directorial debut with Insidious Chapter 3. The filmmaker also returns on the other side of the camera, reprising his role as Specs alongside Angus Sampson's Tucker, Elise's ghost-hunting team from the first two thrillers. Dermot Mulroney, Hayley Kiyoko, Michael Reid MacKay, Ele Keats, Steve Coulter and Tate Berney also star.

The first trailer for Insidious Chapter 3 was released in October, just before Halloween, but, with the June 5 release getting closer and closer, hopefully we'll get to see even more footage fairly soon.
