A retired widower tries to break out of his funk by taking on an unconventional job in the second trailer for Warner Bros.' The Intern. Academy Award winners Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway lead an all-star cast in this new comedy from Oscar-nominated and award-winning filmmaker Nancy Meyers, who directs the dramatic comedy from her own screenplay. The Intern is slated for release on September 25, going up against Before I Wake, The Green Inferno and Hotel Transylvania 2.

In The Intern, Robert De Niro stars as Ben Whittaker, a 70-year-old widower who has discovered that retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by Jules Ostin (Anne Hathaway). What starts as somewhat of a joke, this internship becomes much more fulfilling than anyone could have expected.

The film's multi-generational cast also features Rene Russo, Anders Holm, Andy Rannells, Adam DeVine, Celia Weston, Nat Wolff, Linda Lavin, Zack Pearlman, newcomer Jason Orley and Christina Scherer. Nancy Meyers also produced the film, with Suzanne McNeill Farwell. Celia D. Costas served as executive producer.

The Intern marks Nancy Meyers' first directorial outing since the 2009 comedy It's Complicated, and her first time working with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. We'll have to wait and see if this unique concept connects with audiences, but there surely won't be much crossover for this adult comedy movie and its fellow new releases in late September, which include two horror movies and an animated comedy. With that being said, it could fare quite well at the box office with adult movie goers.

In addition to the latest trailer for The Intern, we also have a new poster featuring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway. Let us know if you plan on seeing this in theaters when it debuts September 25. Does the A-list cast and unique premise have the potential to strike it big at the box office this fall? Let us know what you think, and stay tuned for more on The Intern.
