Director Mike Caron sat down with MovieWeb to discuss his recent time filming The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder and Danger Force. He also goes on to talk about the potential future for both series (pending renewal status), and the experiences of working alongside the cast & crew. "The way Fairly Oddparents season one ended with a cast and crew that was so united, and so we just love being with each other. You know, we love the creativity. We loved our day. And it was sad that it was over for now. But you know, it was a special night."

Exclusively on Paramount+, The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder is an all-new series that is a direct follow-up to the popular animated Nickelodeon television show, The Fairly OddParents. The upcoming series is featured in a combination of both animation and live-action. Fairly Odder picks up years after the original animated series that will follow Timmy Turner’s cousin, Vivian “Viv” Turner, and her brand-new stepbrother, Roy Raskin. Together they will navigate their lives in Dimmsdale with the help of their new fairy godparents, who were passed down by a now older Timmy Turner.

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder stars Audrey Grace Marshall as Vivian “Viv” Turner; Tyler Wladis as Roy Raskin; Laura Bell Bundy as Roy’s mom, Rachel Raskin; Ryan-James Hatanaka as Viv’s dad, Ty Turner; Imogen Cohen as their friend, Zina Zacarias; and Garret Clayton as Dustin Lumberlake, Mary Kate Wiles as Vicky, and Carlos Alazraqui as Mr. Crocker. Original voice cast Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris will reprise their roles to voice the iconic, and still animated, fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo respectively.

Danger Force is an American comedy television series developed by Christopher J. Nowak. The Nickelodeon series is a direct spin-off of Henry Danger, and includes multiple returning stars, such as Cooper Barnes and Michael D. Cohen. Danger Force also stars Havan Flores, Terrence Little Gardenhigh, Dana Heath, and Luca Luhan. The series premiered on March 28, 2020.

Following the events of Henry Danger, Captain Man has a new crew of superhero sidekicks: Danger Force. Captain Man and Schwoz create a fake school to train the kids to harness their uncontrollable superpowers to fight crime.

On The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder Season Two Renewal

While there has been no confirmation whether Fairly Odder will move forward with its second season, Caron is very hopeful that the series will continue. "It's a discussion that I call it my Paramount+ dance. When you work so hard on something, it's always very easy. When you put heart and soul into something like we did with The Fairly OddParents, it becomes a part of you. It's an extension of almost like your second child. You just want everyone to love it because you love it so much. Mike continued "I had so much fun doing it. I hope so. That's all I could say. I just love it. I love the show. I loved it when I heard about it. I love when we did pre-production, loved shooting, and editing it. I loved all of it. It's a special show."

On the Possibility of The Crimson Chin Appearing in Fairly Odder Season Two

Although The Crimson Chin himself did not appear during the first season of Fairly Odder, Caron did reveal that the character's appearance has been discussed already. "Oh, God. Well, I mean, Cooper Barnes from Henry Danger would be absolutely perfect. Oh, God, Cooper. I mean, you're talking about a multi-talented human being I mean, not only you know, he's a dear friend of mine. We had a nice exchange this morning because of his birthday. He met me, Cooper, and Tommy Walker (who played Drex on Henry Danger), and we call ourselves the "Comic Brothers". We have just a non-ending stream of consciousness text read that we just talk all things comics and fun stuff. But Cooper is, I mean, he's the best you know, talented wise, he would be the perfect Crimson. That's a good one. Chris, if you're reading this....that's a pretty good pitch."

On the When Worlds Collide Crossover Event

The stars of six live-action Nickelodeon shows are coming together for an epic crossover titled When Worlds Collide. The crossover stars Frankie Grande (Henry Danger); Jules LeBlanc, Jayden Bartels, Isaiah Crews, Mitchell Berg and Jacques Chevelle (Side Hustle); Havan Flores, Terrence Little Gardenhigh, Dana Heath and Luca Luhan (Danger Force); That Girl Lay Lay and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green (That Girl Lay Lay); Young Dylan (Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan); and Kate Godfrey and Anton Starkman (Warped!), along with Side Hustle's Kurt Ela, Matte Martinez and Reyn Doi. It also features a new original song called "Worlds Collide" from LeBlanc, Bartels, Lay Lay and Green.

"In the past, we did the iCarly and Victorious crossover. I know there's been some other ones, but this one's with FIVE of them. And you know, the Danger Force cast came back because they all know the Side Hustle was the base of the show, but then everyone else came over to that. And I heard it was wild having all these Nickelodeon superstars all on one stage, and I've worked with most of them. So it's a big event. I think for all of us when we were kids, you know, to see any type of crossover when universes collide, like I said, it's a big event, so I'm rooting for it. I can't wait to see it."

On Hoping to Direct for Marvel Studios

"I would love to see super kids as superheroes because again, I love working with kids because kids...they're not well-crafted actors, because how could they be if they don't have a lifetime yet to accumulate experiences? So kid actors are really instinctual. Like, they just got to be who they are. And I would love to see a superhero team like Power Pack, or about true kids at that age, and dealing with superpowers, and learning to work as a group, but set in a time that the Duffer Brothers made so magical with Stranger Things. I guess that's a big wish list."

The Fairly OddParents: Fairly Odder has debuted all 13 episodes exclusively on Paramount+. The second season of Danger Force is currently airing, which premiered on October 23, 2021. There are currently no further details pertaining to Fairly Odder season two and Danger Force season three at this time.
