Journey 2: The Mysterious Island director Brad Peyton has sold a pitch entitled Invasion to Reel FX.

J. Daniel Shaffer is writing the screenplay, which centers on a group of unprepared Philadelphia students who must become soldiers when a supernatural force attacks the city. The project is being compared to Cloverfield.

Brad Peyton will direct and produce Invasion, with Andrew Adamson also producing.

No production schedule was given for Invasion.
