Marvel Studios is currently getting its slate of projects together for the next decade, lining up potential properties in the wake of 2012's The Avengers and all of that film's one-offs.

On Thursday, it was /black-panther-gets-mark-bailey/announced that Marvel had hired Mark Bailey to write Black Panther. Now, Iron Man 2 star Don Cheadle has come forward to say that a writer has been hired to write the spin-off War Machine.

Here is what he had to say:

"They're developing it now; they're working on that. I think they've hired a writer, so we'll see how it goes. It would be a lot of fun."

Cheadle then revealed that he will not be appearing in The Avengers as War Machine:

"I don't think he shows up. I think he's kind of a lone wolf."
