Every possible young actor in Hollywood has been mentioned in regards to playing Marvel's web-slinging hero Peter Parker in director Marc Webb's upcoming Untitled Spider-Man Reboot. We've heard such diverse names as Jamie Bell and Donald Glover tossed about. But now the short list of actors said to be locked for an audition has grown by two. In an exclusive story from The Los Angeles Times, it seems that Kick-Ass's own titular hero Aaron Johnson could be up for the role.

This would certainly be a boon to the film, as Webb hopes to take the popular franchise in more of a Kick-Ass direction in terms of its action, look, and storyline. But nothing is certain when it comes to Sony's Untitled Spider-Man Reboot, as it seems Anton Yelchin is also yet another actor trying to throw his hat into the pile.

Of course, the fact that these names are being spoken in conjunction with Marc Webb's film means nothing at this point. Since it was announced that he was directing the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot, Marc has cast quite a large net, canvassing all options in filling the shoes left by Tobey Maguire. The only obvious thing tying all of these actors together is that none of them look like Tobey Maguire, and that might be a very good thing for both the production and its eager fans.
