Star Wars: Episode VII rumors continue now that the main cast has been announced. Adam Driver was revealed as one of the principle players early on, with /adam-driver-in-talks-for-villain-in-star-wars-episode-vii/Variety breaking the news in late February, two months before Disney and LucasFilm made the casting official. That early report had the Girls star as one of the main villains. Most likely a Sith Lord. A new story suggests he may actually be one of the good guys.

Jedi News claim that Adam Driver is actually playing the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). While he is not a Sith, he does get pulled to the dark side. The main plot of Star Wars: Episode VII will revolve around the original cast attempting to save the character.

Of course neither LucasFilm nor Disney have confirmed this. Adam Driver looks enough like Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher (as evidenced in the above photo) that this could be possible.

Adam Driver was originally said to be playing a character that was comparable to Darth Vader. If this new rumor is true, it does look like he is going down the same dark path as his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, which does fall in line with the earlier report.

Star Wars: Episode VII begins shooting this week in Abu Dhabi, where a number of sets have been built and the cast has been spotted practicing their driving skills on what are being described as 'buggies with jet engines'. Its even rumored that the original 1977 Landspeeder will be making a comeback.
