Fox had an entry listed in the latest issue of Production Weekly that fans of the X-Men series of films should pay attention to. The entry is for a project titled X-Men: First Class, which coincidentally is also the title of a recent series put out by Marvel comics.

The comic began as an eight-issue mini-series written by Jeff Parker and penciled by Roger Cruz, which has since been turned into an ongoing series. The comic tells "lost stories" of the first group of X-Men (Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Angel, Beast, Iceman).

It's somewhat unclear whether or not X-Men: First Class will follow the comic storyline, or if Fox is simply taking the title for the proposed Young X-Men spin-off, which would center around the younger mutants introduced in the three X-Men films.

It's also worth noting that if you attempt to go to the link X-MenFirstClass.com, you are re-directed to the main Fox Movies website.
