Zack Snyder is rumored to be meeting with Frank Miller to discuss the director's upcoming superhero sequel Man of Steel 2, which will feature the long-awaited showdown between Superman and Batman.

The director surprised fans at the end of the Warner Bros. panel, along with Man of Steel actor Harry Lennix, who read the following passage from Frank Miller's graphic novel Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, which features both Superman and Batman.

"I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come... In your most private moments, I want you to remember my hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you."

After that passage was read, the logo featuring both Superman and Batman was shown, and was met with thunderous applause from the Hall H crowd. While the film will not be a direct adaptation of Frank Miller's story, the use of the passage has fans believing that the director wants him to be involved.

Recently, a source close to the Sin City writer/director had this to say about the rumored meeting.

"Frank had no idea the announcement in San Diego was going to happen so it did come as a surprise. He's going to be meeting up with Zack in the next few days to go over the plans for the Superman film so things should be clearer after that."
