Just a few days ago we /sony-claiming-logan-lerman-is-not-peter-parker-in-the-spider-man-reboot/reported that Logan Lerman was not "almost 100% locked" to play Peter Parker and his alter-ego in an upcoming reboot, contrary to an /logan-lerman-officially-peter-parker-in-new-spider-man-reboot/earlier report. Now IESB.net is reporting that a new contender could be starring in the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot, Josh Hutcherson.

While the site is not saying that Hutcherson has the role quite yet, only that he's on the studio's short list of actors they are considering for the role. Hutcherson has recently appeared in Journey to the Center of the Earth, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant and also stars in the Sundance hit film The Kids Are All Right, which will be released in theaters on July 7.

We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further developments in the casting saga surrounding the Untitled Spider-Man Reboot.
