With Comic-Con 2014 just around the corner, you'd expect Marvel to hold onto its big announcements until Saturday, July 26, when it is set to present a panel and Q&A that will stretch on for nearly 90 minutes in Hall H. But in a bit of much needed synergy, Disney is using its Marvel brand to give a boost to fledgling daytime talk show The View tomorrow, Tuesday, July 26, promising to announce a new Marvel title, and teasing it's 'thunderous' appeal.

Will we get our first solid details about Thor 3? Don't hold your breath, as this is very unlikely. The wording in the press release sounds more like Marvel is gearing up to announce a new comic book title that will tie into it's Thor series. But that hasn't been confirmed. Its still possible, however unlikely, that we will learn the title of Thor 3...Or perhaps Disney and Marvel are planning their first TV series around the title?

We just don't, and won't know until tomorrow. Here is the official PR:

MARVEL ANNOUNCES AN ALL-NEW THUNDERING TITLE ON THE VIEW!

Marvel is excited to announce that on Tuesday, July 15th, at 11AM EST, it will be announcing its latest explosive title live on the Emmy-Winning, daily talk show The View

The View, a live, one-hour daily talk show from ABC (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET), features Whoopi Goldberg, Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy. It's the original forum in which real women discuss everyday issues, share their opinions and engage in colorful conversations. The View, broadcast in HDTV and produced in 2-channel stereo sound, is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on ABC.com. The View is owned and produced by ABC. Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie are executive producers.

Tweet #theview during the live broadcast as select viewer tweets will appear live, on screen, during the show.

Yes, it's strange that a daytime talk show aimed at middle-aged women is debuting Marvel's next big project. Its speculated that the upcoming title being announced will feature a lead female protagonist. Is it possible that Jamie Alexander's Lady Sif is getting her own movie, TV show or comic book title? That could happen....

The wording of the PR leads us to believe that we'll only be hearing about a new comic book tomorrow, though. But The View certainly is a strange place to break that news. Who knows what we'll hear in the next 24 hours? As of now, Marvel has never officially announced Thor 3, with the trades breaking the news that Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost will write the screenplay. Other than that, we've heard very little about the sequel. Is it possible that a release date will be confirmed too?
