Ray Romano has struck a deal with 24 creators Joel Surnow and Bob Cochran for a comedy series for HBO.
The Everybody Loves Raymond star is returning to TV as the lead in a 10-episode single-camera project. The show is in its early stages, says The Hollywood Reporter, and it would have Romano as a fortysomething billionaire who has six months to live.
Dennis Klein is set to write the show; he'll also be the executive producer along with Surnow, Cochran, and Romano. No word on when the series will air on HBO.
