Moviehole recently talked with director Phillip Noyce and he says that he will no longer be directing the next Jack Ryan film.

He says that Harrison Ford will not be returning to the franchise, either. The next film will focus on a younger Jack Ryan. And it is Ryan Gosling that has been cast in the role.

The next film will not be based on one of Tom Clancy's books.
