There has been a lot of talk lately about the involvement of Wonder Woman and Nightwing in Batman Vs. Superman. Olga Kurylenko, Gal Gadot and Elodie Yung are reportedly in contention for Wonder Woman, with Adam Driver, Penn Badgley and Ezra Miller up for the Nightwing role, although neither character has been officially confirmed to be in the sequel.

Another character still yet to be cast is the villainous Lex Luthor, whose involvement was confirmed by director Zack Snyder during last weekend's online fan event. A new report has surfaced, indicating that Lost star Terry O'Quinn is on the short list of contenders to play Superman's bald nemesis.

It isn't known who else is on the studio's list. Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston was once rumored to be a front runner for the villain, although the actor shot down those rumors in September. Mark Strong was also rumored to be a contender this June, although an unconfirmed report from August revealed that he may be reprising his Green Lantern role as Sinestro.

The sequel opened its production offices in Pontiac, Michigan a few weeks ago, with shooting scheduled to begin in early 2014. Zack Snyder is directing from a screenplay by David S. Goyer, with Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Ben Affleck (Batman) attached to star.

Terry O'Quinn has most recently starred on the small screen in 666 Park Avenue, Falling Skies, Hawaii Five-0 and the upcoming Gang Related. His previous film credits include Heaven's Gate, The Stepfather, The Rocketeer and Primal Fear, although he hasn't appeared on the big screen in 10 years, since an uncredited turn in Old School.
