Could Wal-Mart be feeling the heat from iTunes?

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, the large retailer emphatically denied that it was trying "dissuade" movie studios from seeking alternative methods of distribution.

In a story from the New York Post, they reported that Wal-Mart had "warned Hollywood it may retaliate against studios for selling movies on iTunes, a move that could hurt Wal-Mart's DVD sales."

Wal-Mart claims there isn't any truth to any of these rumors.

According to a Wal-Mart spokeswoman, "The Post story appears to be a rehashing of the mis-information that's been printed previously."
