Could The Juggernaut be getting his own film? Currently, signs seem to be pointing that direction. IGN informs us that director Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) posted an image of Juggernaut from the comics to his website along with the phrase "I'll let you guys go nuts on this one..."

Obviously, fans have done just that, and speculation is high that Carnahan may be making a film based on the unstoppable mutant powerhouse, although neither Carnahan nor Vinnie Jones (who played the character in X-Men: The Last Stand) has made any official comment.

In the comics, Juggernaut is Cain Marko, half-brother to Charles Xavier. Whereas Charles is the world's most powerful telepath, and the leader of the X-Men, Marko had no superhuman powers until he discovered the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, which transformed him into the unstoppable Juggernaut. As Juggernaut, Marko is invulnerable to nearly any source of damage, possesses strength rivaling that of the Incredible Hulk, and once he starts off in one direction, nothing can stop his advance. Juggernaut appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand, where he was played by Vinnie Jones, as a member of Magneto's Brotherhood.

It is worth noting that Carnahan may be using the Juggernaut symbolically, rather than literally. It is possible that Carnahan is not making a Juggernaut film, but instead has been given the sign that another of his projects is now able to move forward, with nothing being able to stop it.
