Pennywise the Dancing Clown is going down to San Diego to promote IT Chapter Two this summer. The whole event is for an off-site Comic Con experience through ScareDiego, which has quickly grown in popularity over the years. New Line and Warner Bros. previously used the event to show off footage from the first IT and it left a lasting impression on anyone who saw it. This year is expected to be the same with some new surprises thrown into the mix.

Wednesday, July 17th will officially kick off Comic-Con with the IT Chapter Two ScareDiego event. Director Andres Muschietti shared the details on social media and it looks like Pennywise may have written out the invitations, so consider yourself warned. Fans of Stephen King's source material are asked to return to Derry. Technically, the postcard invitation says, "Come Back," scrawled in what is imagined to be red ink, which makes things even more spooky. Pennywise really wants everyone to come down.

It isn't clear if New Line will be showcasing some new footage from IT Chapter Two since Warner Bros. is sitting Comic-Con out this year. But, we are getting invitations from Andres Muschietti and Pennywise, which could mean some surprises are on the way. With the highly anticipated sequel set to hit theaters in September, we are all due for some new footage and ScareDiego is the perfect place to do so. Andres Muschietti will be on hand and there are strong rumors that members of the cast will be along for the ride two. Let's just hope Bill Skarsgard is one of them.

As for how to obtain tickets to the IT Chapter Two ScareDiego event, Comic-Con visitors are to go to the Warner Bros. booth inside the convention during preview night. Stephen King fans are not going to want to miss out on this opportunity, especially if they're already going to be down in San Diego early for the kick off. With the success of the first chapter, fans should not sleep on trying to get tickets for the event since they will more than likely go quickly.

IT: Chapter Two will be the only presence Warner Bros. brings to San Diego, and it's not even going to be in the convention center. This means that Hall H won't be housing any DCEU footage this year, with Wonder Woman 1984 star Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins confirming that they'll sit it out and wait until December to promote their sequel. Fans also hoping to get a first look at Christopher Nolan's next movie, Tenet, are also out of luck. That said, these movies will probably have some kind of presence within the Warner Bros. booth on the convention floor.

IT Chapter Two hits theaters on September 6th and expectations are high with the new adult cast of the Losers' Club taking to the big screen. The original young cast are in the movie too, but it is unclear how big of a part they will have to play in the second chapter. Expectations are also high at the box office. The first chapter is the highest grossing R-rated horror movie in history and the second installment could go on to beat that record. Whatever happens down at Comic-Con this year is going to set the tone for this fall, so keep your eyes peeled.
